The variety of uses vinegar has makes it a product you should
learn more about. Most people have already used vinegar for something
other than a salad dressing. Some of its more untraditional, yet popular
uses include: window cleaning, stain removal, for deodorising, or as a
universal sanitizing solution. However, there are some more unpopular
applications, such as the various applications for beauty care, doing
the laundry, and even for your car.
Vinegar Uses for Beauty
Vinegar
baths have been known for centuries. Nowadays, you can use herbal
vinegar for balancing the PH in your skin. Add no more than a cup in the
bathwater. The result - cleansed, refreshed skin, itches-free. If you
have flaking skin issues, vinegar can prove to be the solution you need.
Revitalising
skin procedures in your home - herbals and vinegar can help. There are
many combinations, which used for taking a bath, will all have a
positive effect. Toss the ingredients in a cloth, tie it, and put it in
the bath. With the hot water there, it can become a fairytale of aromas
in your bathroom.
Here are the suggested vinegar and herbs bath combinations:
- Orange peel, rose petals, and peppermint leaves;
- Lavender flowers and rosemary leaves;
- Rose petals, almond oil, and witch hazel;
- Lemongrass and spearmint;
- Thyme, sage, and rose petals;
- Bay leaves and crushed cloves;
- Lemon peel and rose petals;
- Rose petals and chamomile flowers;
Vinegar Bath Salts
Ingredients: 4 cups vinegar, 1 cup baking soda, ½ cup Epsom salts, ¼ cup salt.
Mix
well and store in a covered container. Use ½ cup for each bath. This
will help relive sore and tired muscles and make you feel energized.
Uses of Vinegar in Your Car
Remove Bumper Sticker
Pour
some vinegar on the bumper sticker directly. Allow some time to soak.
Scrape the sticker. If you don't have an ice scraper, a credit card
might be useful enough. Usually sticky residue might remain, so repeat
the procedure once more.
Interior Cleaning Uses
As
most of you might already know, vinegar has many great applications when
it comes to cleaning. Your car is no different and the fabrics there
are almost the same as in your home. Upholstery, plastic, carpeting,
etc. These all can be cleaned with the use of vinegar.
Cleaning Chrome
Full-strength vinegar on a cloth is the solution needed. From then on, it is all about elbow grease and some hard buffing.
Vinegar and Laundry
Bear
in mind that there are different types of vinegar. The ones used for
the solutions above are mainly apple cider, herbal, and distilled. As a
laundry booster, only white vinegar can be used.
Washing New Clothes
All
new clothes smell the same, right? This is because they are treated
with chemicals. Even if you like it, it is good to make sure our clothes
are safe. Add a cup of white vinegar to the washing cycle.
Brightening White or Coloured Clothes
Half
a cup added to the load will brighten all kinds of fabrics. This is a
great solution to safe some money from expensive detergents.
Pet Urine on Clothes
Soak
the garment in vinegar and allow it to stay there for some hours. Do a
regular wash afterwards. The smell should be gone, even if vinegar smell
can still be sensed. However, the latter one will be soon gone, as
otherwise the cat urine would've been there forever.
